“We believe the combination of this technology and our products will bring the board in car entertainment to another level, to change channels with a single button, like at home,” said AudioVox president Tom Malone.

According to the rumour, Microsoft would prepare to announce the compression from 10 to 17% of its staff. The company, which counts 91 000 employees everywhere in the world, will launch the first beta public of Windows 7, it’s new OS, at the beginning of the month and will announce it’s quarterly results on January 22.

Always according to the rumour, the cutback should be announced about on January 15, between the two events.

One good thing: if they announced before beta of Windows 7, launching would attract less attention, and the announce of quarterly results would allow to justify the measure on the employees.

The South Korean manufacturer of LG Electronics cellphones announced Monday that he was going to launch what he presents like the first video telephone in the form of watch.

This “3G Phone Watch” lays out a touchscreen, a camera and a integrated speaker and allows users video communications into high bandwith, indicated LG in an official statement.

It is also equipped with a system of voice recognition, transforms the text into voice and is equipped with a Bluetooth function and a MP3 music player .

WIth a 3,63 cm screen and 13,9 mm thickness, it will be submitted to the Consumer Electronics Show of Las Vegas on January 8th.

According to iSuppli, more laptops than desktop computers were sold during the third quarters of 2008.
