Microsoft staff compression

According to the rumour, Microsoft would prepare to announce the compression from 10 to 17% of its staff. The company, which counts 91 000 employees everywhere in the world, will launch the first beta public of Windows 7, it’s new OS, at the beginning of the month and will announce it’s quarterly results on January 22.

Always according to the rumour, the cutback should be announced about on January 15, between the two events.

One good thing: if they announced before beta of Windows 7, launching would attract less attention, and the announce of quarterly results would allow to justify the measure on the employees.

According to some sites, the decisiona have already been announced to the employees concerned. However, according to the law, Microsoft should have published the news at the latest 24 hours after they have announced to employees.

If the rumour is true, this would be a premiere. From it’s beginning, Microsoft had never made compression in employees staff. No comments were made by Microsoft.
