Google G1 Phone as bonus

It seems that even the Google is not safe from the omnipresent economic recession, whose pessimism is also felt at the dynamic companies of Silicon Valley.

Instead of the traditional bonus of end of the year - the employees received 1 000$ last year -, it’s rather a G 1 mobile phone that employees received this year at Google.

G1 is new intelligent cellular functioning under Android, the free software platform developed by the search engine.

“The holiday bonus is a tradition at Google - it is an excellent way of thanking everyone for its excellent work. Traditionally, we did that while giving a profit out of money to our employees. This year, we decided to give a different gift to them, that is to say a ” Dream phone” ”, the British daily newspaper London Times wrote, quoting internal email of the company.

G1 personalized will be given to the employees of Google based in the United States, in Canada, in Central Europe and of the West, in Australia, in Singapore and Japan, which count for some 85% of the 20 123 employees of the search engine.

The memorandum also identifies 17 countries where G1 does not function, in particular Brazil, Russia, India and China. The employees of these countries will receive approximately 400$, the value of cellular, as holiday bonus.
